Can you help me?

Since the launch of Pitcher House I have received a mixed reaction to. From fabulous comments on the originality of the business right through to people saying it's a ridiculous idea.

Well, thankfully, the fabulous judges for the #smarta100 over at Smarta.com have decided that yes, Pitcher House is infact a great business and we've won an award!!

I was in tears when I found out and I'm still struggling to believe it.

Now I need YOUR help. As a winner I'm in the running with a chance to win a massive pirze of £10,000! This amount of money would revolutionise Pitcher House and really take the business to the level I dream it will reach but whether I stand a chance of winning is entirely up to you.

It's all down to the public vote - if you could spare literally 10 seconds to register and vote for us and also leave a short comment for the judges we would be eternally grateful. Just click here and thank you

Calling all mums - Parenting show needs your help!

Studio Lambert is making a TV show about parenting, it’s essentially mums giving other mums tips and advice. No experts, just mums discussing a variety of different issues and concerns.

We want it to be real and unlike any other parenting shows, with intelligent, witty and slightly irreverent content. We want there to be genuine take home from the show but to also have a refreshing new take on the world of being a mum.

We’re looking for mums of all ages, from all parts of the country with something to say.

CALLING ALL MUMS

Bored of professional advice? Sick of ‘experts’ telling you how to raise your children? Just want solutions from experienced mothers?

We are looking for mums to take part in a potential new parenting programme for Channel 4.

Have you got some parenting tips you’d like to share?

Any concerns or issues that you want to resolve?

Whether you’re looking for advice, have a tip you’d like to share or simply a funny parenting story; however old your children are we want to hear from you!

DO NOT SELL!!!

Over the years many people have asked me what the secret to successful sales is. Should they be pushy or more laid back? Should they make contact via telephone or face to face? Should they send samples or not?

The truth is none of these things really matter; they're completely irrelevant!

Think about it as an individual. Don't you just hate it when your phone rings and straight away someone is trying to sell you something? Isn't it awful when you walk into a store and the sales staff follow you a round like aggressive rottweilers?

We all HATE being sold to so the trick is simply not to!

When trying to sell your products or service to an individual or business try telling them a story. Tell them how you came up with your product. Give them examples of ways in which your service has helped other businesses in real terms.

Don't ever go for the hard sell because all you do is annoy, insult destroy any future opportunities you may have had.

Urgent Media Request

The Daily Mail are looking for an URGENT case study has dropped out from a shoot tomorrow at the Daily Mail ( Kensington
It's a husband and wife shoot, we will pay £300 plus expenses, and I am giving men the opportunity to dress their wife or partner how they'd love to see them dressed ( ie in glam or fitted clothes) whereas most of we women dress for comfort and utilitarian purposes.
It'll be a light hearted feature, we have the studio booked all day and it'll take about an hour and a half. Very happy to mention your business and great promotion.

The difference a celeb endorsement can make

We would all love to have a celebrity endorse our products but it's not simple! Or so they would have you believe! To get that illusive endorsement you have to be persistant, creative and brave.

Jenny McLaughlan, creator of www.Gumigem.co.uk, the silicon teething necklace that's perfect for mums and babies knows this well. After trying to get endorsements from celebrities, she took the bull by the horns and decided that the direct approach would work best. After tweetng Denise Van Outen she sent a Gumigem necklace to her and low and behold Denise loved it! She loved it so much she tweeted this:

Following the tweet her website was inundated with enquiries and the orders soon followed! It has made a huge difference to the business and Jenny hopes to build on this success.

So, celeb endorsements.....worth the work??? Definitely!

Design services

As many of you may already know, Pitcher House are now offering design services. I'd love to be able to say that I'm super creative and that I can whip up logo in minutes but the sad truth of the matter is that I don't have a creative bone in my body!

Our design guru is the fabulous Amanda Farren and to show you just how talented she is I thought it might be worth showing you a few of her wonderful designs.
